1. You must be of legal age to drive and produce a valid UK/Northern Ireland provisional Category B driving licence. In Great Britain, both the photo card (or old-style paper licence), and a permission code to verify the licence online, must be produced. If an older style paper licence is held, then you must also produce a valid passport as photographic ID.
For motorway or refresher lessons a full valid licence and permission code must be produced, with ID if necessary, as above.
2. Payment in full must be made prior to arrival.
3. You must meet the minimum eye test requirements, which means you must be able to read a current UK number plate (on vehicles registered since 2001), at a minimum distance of 20 metres. If you need to wear glasses or contact lenses in order to meet this requirement then you must wear them whenever you drive.
4. You must notify your instructor of any change of your ability or entitlement to have driving tuition, for example if your provisional licence has been revoked or for medical reasons such as epilepsy. Should you not advise your instructor of any changes and your instructor suffers any loses or fines, those losses and or fines will be entirely the pupil’s responsibility to refund to the instructor.

6. You must not be under the influence of drugs/alcohol during the training. In the event of there being any signs of drugs/alcohol misuse, your instructor will withhold the use of the training vehicle for use of tuition or driving test until you are in a legal and fit state to drive. Any prescribed medication that may affect your driving should be declared to the instructor and to the DVLA medical board. The instructor’s decision is final and the lessons will have to be paid for in full.
7. Any damage whatsoever to the vehicle when on Lessons or Test is entirely the pupil’s responsibility and the pupil will have to pay for the repair or the insurance excess. Any fines or points received whilst on Lessons will be allocated to the pupil who will be responsible to pay any fine and receive the points.
8. Lessons are £45 per hour Monday to Friday between 9 am and 5 pm, minimum two-hour lessons. Any lessons starting before 9am or finishing after 5pm will be charged at £50 per hour. Extra charges will apply for weekends and bank holidays.
9. There are cameras in the vehicle to record out of the front and back, sometimes there will be a camera recording inside the vehicle. These recordings are for safety in the event of an accident, cameras recording inside may be used for training purposes, as per GDPR your information will not be shared to anybody unless required to do so by law. All of your information will be securely stored and password protected.
10. Data Protection Act 1998
- A vehicle fitted with dual controls is considered to be a workplace.
- The CCTV recording inside the workplace is the responsibility of the appointed data controller.
- The decision to continue or cease recording within the workplace at any time may only be made by the appointed data controller. No other person or third party may override that decision.
- Visitors to the workplace may not make independent recordings without the specific permission of the appointed data controller.
- Any form of recording audio/video taken inside the workplace by whatever means are the property of the appointed data controller.
- The use of any of the above for any purpose whatsoever is prohibited without the written permission of the appointed data controller.
- In entering this workplace you are agreeing to the above statements.
11. You must sign and agree a copy of these terms and conditions before lessons can begin.
